Liapor develops, produces and distributes expanded clay throughout Europe. The Liapor plants maintain their own laboratories and development departments, which work closely with each other and with specialist institutes from many fields. Expanded clay from Liapor is pressure-resistant and lightweight, has an open-pored structure and is produced without chemical additives. Due to its properties, it is used in the areas of new construction, renovation, building construction and civil engineering, green roofs, wastewater treatment, as an aggregate for concrete and as winter grit. Climateways uses expanded clay in its specially developed retention bodies, among other things, where the material supports dimensional stability, filtering of pollutants, low pressure load and air exchange.
