In Kruibeke, an underground retention body was built to collect rainwater for an office building.
In most municipalities, there is a great deal of competition for land and the sewage system is overloaded by more frequent and more intensive rainfall. This is why these underground retention bodies in combination with a cistern are ideal for temporarily storing water and making it usable again without using up space. The resulting savings in drinking water consumption and precipitation charges are considerable.
