The Zieglerweg cycle and service road in Rankweil, Austria, was to be replaced with an alternative road surface due to heavy pothole and dust formation. After an initial appointment with Climateways staff on site, it quickly became clear that our CW Traffic 0/16 was the right choice.

The installation

The top layer of the existing ceiling was removed first. The edges were milled off and a water channel was created to the fields. CW Traffic 0/16 was used for the new cycle path and service road. This road surface is known for its high shear strength, permanent reversibility and internal water management, which is responsible for a significant reduction in potholes and dust removal of up to 90 %.

The material was then spread over the entire surface, profiled and rolled. A seamless transition was created to the adjoining asphalt surface.
